As Ippo takes the first steps in his official boxing career, he faces off against a series of challenging opponents, each more powerful than the last. He gains a rival in Miyata and a coach in Genji Kamogawa, the gym owner and a former boxer himself. Following brief training under Takamura, Ippo impresses the other boxers in a practice match against prodigy Ichirou Miyata. Takamura and his fellow boxers, Masaru Aoki and Tatsuya Kimura, are stunned by Ippo’s powerful punches-a result of strong muscles developed through years serving his physically taxing family business. Mamoru Takamura, an up-and-coming boxer, rescues Ippo from a violent after-school incident and takes him back to the Kamogawa Boxing Gym for recovery. Ippo’s timid nature, his lack of sleep, and the sea smell make him an easy target for relentless bullies who leave him bruised and beaten on a daily basis. In his father’s absence, teenager Ippo Makunouchi works hard to help his mother run her fishing boat rental business. Nonetheless, Masaki fearlessly steps into the fun world of surfing, stopping at nothing to be the very best. However, behind Shou’s gentle smile lurks a darker shadow, threatening to overwhelm his friends. He learns quickly and eventually enters a local competition, all with Shou and Tanaka by his side. On the surfboard, Masaki shows surprising potential and talent for balance.

But his admiration for Shou’s surfing style finally inspires him to try the waves for the first time-despite not knowing how to swim. Even though surfing is the hobby of choice for Masaki’s best friend, easygoing half-Hawaiian Nalu Tanaka, Masaki has never shown interest in trying it himself. Shou is a skilled surfer and has been immersed in the sport since childhood.
Before long, Masaki encounters him again as a new classmate named Shou Akitsuki. Suddenly, Masaki’s eyes sparkle in awe: a blond boy surfs, delicate and breathtaking, with a slight smile gracing his kind face. The series also does a good job setting up its first few episodes that you can still get a lot of enjoyment out of the series without watching any of the previous series.Overview: The moment of reckoning has arrived as the illustrious Football Frontier International is finally underway. With Inazuma Eleven: Ares no Tenzin being the first anime in the new timeline, there is only one previous series you have to watch to get into this one. If you have wanted an easy spot to jump into the series this is the perfect spot to come in. Inazuma Eleven is a series that has received multiple series over the last decade. While there are a few too many static shots in the middle of the matches, the matches are still one of the best parts of the series. The moves and strategies and fun and crazy and there are some nice twists to the matches that give this series a unique feeling. Inazuma Eleven: Orion no Kokuin has some fantastic football action that you can't get anywhere else. The characters have gotten some nice development and the new additions to Inazuma Japan have kept everything feeling fresh and interesting. Everyone from series mainstays like Asuto and Ryouhei, to new characters like Hikaru Ichihoshi are great. The characters have been great from both a story perspective and design wise.
So far, the best part of Inazuma Eleven has been its characters.
